India Extends Rapid Humanitarian Aid to Sri Lanka

India has activated Operation Sagar Bandhu to deliver urgent Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) to Sri Lanka in the wake of Cyclone Ditwah, which severely impacted coastal communities. Demonstrating its unwavering commitment to regional solidarity, India moved swiftly to support its neighbour during this crisis.

Relief Supplies Delivered from INS Vikrant & INS Udaygiri

As part of the immediate assistance effort, India has supplied:

4.5 tons of dry rations

2 tons of fresh rations

Other essential relief items and emergency supplies

These materials were dispatched directly from INS Vikrant and INS Udaygiri, enabling rapid on-ground support to families affected by the cyclone.

The relief package includes staple foods, ready-to-eat items, and fresh provisions aimed at supporting vulnerable communities during the early recovery phase.
